Symmetry

Defined as balance form in layman’s term, Symmetry is something that is represented universally. It the human body as well.

Aesthetically pleasing proportionality and balance comprises symmetry which in turn can be described in three perspectives. First is mathematics in which it is precisely categorized. Next is Science and Technology which indirectly use it in aspects of space & time. Last but not the least is Humanity which covers its wide usage in history, architecture, art and religion.

Elements of symmetry are apparent in work of art and paintings since time immemorial. Artists use symmetrical principles to represent order, harmony & serenity in their works. Hence it does not come by surprise when studies show that human faces that are widely considered to be most attractive are the ones which are quite symmetrical. Therefore it was rightly said by Randy Blackly in its introduction to Dr. Christhopper Tyler that, ‘’not only does the mind create art, it also perceives it’’ because, surprisingly human can faster than by instinct, scan a visual object for symmetrical qualities in less than0.05 of a second.
